Our journey began with a love story in the early 1940s. Bruce Welbon, a young pilot serving at Denver's Lowry Air Force Base, fell head over heels for a local farmer's daughter. Their union was more than just a marriage; it was the foundation of a business that would touch thousands of lives in the decades to come.

After the wedding, Bruce embraced his Italian in-laws' family tradition and took up the upholstery trade. Determined and skilled, he set up shop in a humble converted chicken coop.

This small beginning is the seed of something much more significant.

As demand grew, so did Bruce's vision. By the early 1960s, his small upholstery shop had expanded in size and scope, venturing into carpet. This pivotal move set the stage for Veterans Carpet One Floor & Home as we know it today.

In 1976, the torch was passed to the next generation when Bruce's son, Bill, took over the reins of the business. Bill's leadership has been a constant for over four decades, guiding the company through changing times while maintaining the core values that made it successful.

The family legacy continues with the third generation. In 2010, Bill's son, Adam, joined the family business.
