From an upholstery shop operating out of an abandoned chicken coop to a trusted Denver flooring store near Highlands Ranch, Veterans Carpet One Floor & Home has evolved tremendously while upholding superior service over our 79-year history. For nearly 80 years, Veterans Carpet One Floor & Home has been a family-owned business deeply rooted in the Highlands Ranch community. Our story began in the 1940s when Bruce Welbon, a young pilot serving at Denver's Lowry Air Force Base, fell in love with a local farmer's daughter. After marrying into her family's traditions of Italian craftsmanship, Bruce opened a small upholstery shop in a former chicken coop. His commitment to quality work and excellent service allowed the business to thrive.
By the 1960s, the shop had expanded into offering carpeting. Bruce's son Bill took over as President in 1976 and remains at the helm today alongside his son Adam, the Operations Manager. While our product lines have grown, our core values have remained constant: a dedication to our community, superior customer service, and products of the highest quality.
Our mission is "to provide best-in-class service, superior products, and professional installations to every client." This customer-focused commitment influences everything we do, from our wide array of flooring options to our approach to customer support before, during, and after every sale.
